About Catch22

Catch22 is a social business, a not for profit business with a social mission. For over 200 years we have designed and delivered services that build resilience and aspiration in people and communities. As a social business we have the heart of a charity, and the mindset of a business.




Catch22 provides young people aged 4-18 with alternative education in order for them to progress and succeed in sustained education or employment. We do this through high quality teaching and learning based on effective relationships that enable the achievement of life skills and meaningful qualifications. Our Vision and Values


Catch22 include provides full-time alternative education to primary children, young people aged 4 to 11-years-old in Suffolk with an emphasis on transition and re-engagement back into mainstream education or employment.


We support vulnerable young people with challenging behaviours to realise their full potential, build on their confidence and self esteem, achieve academic and behavioural targets with eventual progress back into mainstream education or other specialist provision which will fully meet the needs of the individual.


Include independent schools are accredited with the national matrix quality standard for high quality advice and guidance services which is promoted by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills. The schools offer a range of tailored support programmes targeted at:


  • young people who fall into high risk groups in all key stages
  • those who are excluded or at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools or Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)
  • those with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) or special educational needs (SEN).
