Include Primary School (Bury St Edmunds) currently accommodates up to 24 pupils between years 2 and 6. The school offers the full National Curriculum alongside nurture sessions and extra academic interventions. Our timetable is designed to help children not only with their academic progress but also to address their social and emotional progress. The school provides up to 25 hours education. Our school day starts at 9.30am and ending at 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. The school currently has 3 classes and the staff are trained in both behavioural and Special Educational teaching.
As a school we work closely with parents to make sure the children get the best opportunities possible where parents can be assured in the knowledge that they are involved in all aspects of the child’s learning and progression.
Most of the children we work with have behavioural issues due to many different reasons such as anxiety, low self esteem and confidence, other reasons can be due to learning difficulties such as ASD, Apsergers, ADHD or attachment disorders.
As a short- term placement we will work with pupils, parents/carers and the Local Authority to source the best long term, permanent educational facility for them.
Include School Suffolk is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
