  On my rounds to all the schools i have been impressed with the marvellous way in which staff have come back suitably re-freshed from the summer break and the way the pupils at all the schools are trying their very best. I can honestly say that on visiting any of our schools the atmosphere, energy and fun activities and play that our pupils are engaged in you would not know of the struggles many of them have had previously at school. For me this has been the best start to a term i can recall. Stable staff teams, well led at all the school sites. Our new curriculum and the resources we have invested in over the last year are paying dividends in supporting the teaching, learning and engagement thorughout our Primary schools.

  It looks like summer is well on its way, so can we ask all parents/carers to kindly where possible ensure a hat and sun cream (labelled with your child’s name) is place inside your son/daughters school bag. This will help us protect your child when outside if taking part in a lesson outdoors or break/lunchtimes in the playground.

  Where possible and appropriate could you apply sun cream at home before being picked up for school.

  A letter should of found its way to you, please sign and return this letter as soon as possible.
